Oregon has some unique opportunities to support students and supervisees our private practices and group practices. It is important for clinicians who are being asked to supervise to understand the ethical guidelines and legal boundaries for bringing students into one’s practice. This training will give you a specific strategy to ethically host interns and supervisees in your practice and ways to implement policy and procedure changes directly after completing.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Attendees will review Ethical guidelines from the APA, ACA and AAMFT for supervising pre-licensed clinicians. 
  • Attendees will be able to list 4 Legal boundaries specific to Oregon when bringing pre-licensed clinicians. 
  • Attendees will be able to use information learned to construct their policies to address ethical issues as discussed in this training.

Dr. Sanderson is a Licensed Psychologist in Oregon, owner of a group practice, a Clinical supervisor for Residents and Associates, an entrepreneur, course creator, podcaster and an author. As a clinician, Dr. Sanderson loves working with and talking about Anxiety, OCD, Perfectionism and burnout. As a trainer and supervisor Dr. Sanderson's heart lays in training up and empowering interns and pre-licensed folks. She teaches courses in how to start a private practice, and how to have interns in your practice and more!
