Dr. Amy Heesacker is a licensed psychologist and the founder of a private practice in Athens, Georgia, where she specializes in supporting adults, older adults, and couples. With a career spanning over 25 years, Dr. Heesacker balances her clinical work with a deep commitment to community service, currently serving on the board for Family Counseling Services (FCS) following years of service as a clinical supervisor and therapist there.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame (PhD, 1997), Amy brings a wealth of experience from university counseling centers and adjunct teaching roles to her practice. While she currently provides both in-person and virtual care, she is licensed by PSYPACT to offer interstate teletherapy. Looking ahead, Dr. Heesacker is excited to announce her relocation to Portland, Oregon in 2027, where she will be expanding her practice and seeking local licensure.
